Unfortunately only 1 student in year 12 has attended film club. It is an easy way to up your mark and get inspiration for your ideas. Even if you have seen these you should come again as we have some discussions about various aspects about the filmmaking of the films.

DRAMA FILM 'Freedom Writers'
A young teacher inspires her class of at-risk students to learn tolerance, apply themselves, and pursue education beyond high school.
This is an excellent film which you could gain insight into representation of characters and themes about poverty, modern racism and the role and influence of quality of education.
THRILLER FILM 'Paranormal Activity'
After a young, middle class couple moves into a suburban 'starter' tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.
This is a contemporary film which you could gain insight into handhand/realism filmaking style and nightvision techniques.
